Poncho Wet Weather Testing

It started raining in Melbourne today so we took the opportunity to test the latest Quad Lock Poncho splash proof iPhone cover. The Poncho is installed in seconds and provides awesome protection for your iPhone from rain, sweat, dust and mud. The Poncho means you can continue to ride while having full functionality and protection of your iPhone.

Checkout the footage we were able to capture from a GoPro mounted on the handle bars.

We hear what you’re saying Robert, but the Poncho does pretty much tick all of those boxes. We have tested it extensively off road and in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Tom, enter your details on the following page http://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/products/products/poncho-water-resistant-cover and we will notify you when the Poncho is available!

Will you engineer something which will be suitable for some rough MTB’ing i.e. it needs to cope with dirt and splashes from the downside e.g. if you ride through larger puddles or mud? I would assume the poncho shown does its job well on regular streets, but off-road is something different but would fit perfectly to the light-weight, but still robust system, so all what’s needed would be a real “all-conditions” poncho around the iphone…

Can we pre order the Poncho, or get an e mail notification when it it shipping ?

Hi Veljko, we should be shipping the Poncho next month.

Alwyn, In our testing you don’t get much water on the back of the case as the stem and forks usually protect it pretty well. If its on the handle bars the spray from the tyre never hits it as the handle bars turn with the wheel. Hope that helps.

Need this! Please give us some indication of ship date…

Folks, I have been keeping an eye on this product as I emailed you about splash/shower proof cover last month. The road in the test didn’t look too wet and my concern is that water spray from the tyres will hit the underside of the phone and water will penetrate under the plastic thus reducing the protection it should offer. Therefore I am still not convinced that you have created a shower proof cover.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news as I think the mounting system is great.
