Samsung Galaxy S10

The Samsung Galaxy S10 devices have been 'UNPACKED' and you can now Pre-Order your Quad Lock Case

With a triple lens camera, on-screen fingerprint sensor and wireless power sharing, the Galaxy S10 release has been one of the worst kept secrets on the internet. Maybe the "leaks", which included an "accidental" TV Ad in Norway, was a tactic by Samsung to promote their latest flagship device? Anyhow, all the rumours can now be put to bed after today's announcement and we can 100% confirm the devices.

So let's have a look at the Samsung Galaxy S10 range and "unpack" the main features.

THREE DEVICES... SORT OF

For the first time in the Galaxy S range, Samsung released three devices at once.

  • S10      (From $899 USD)
  • S10+    (From $999 USD)
  • S10e    (From $749 USD)

The S10e, much like the iPhone XR, is the 'lite' version of the S10 range. Priced at $150 USD from the standard S10, it has all the the essentials and is slightly smaller at 5.8"

The S10+, with a screen size of 6.4", isn't just bigger in size with a capacity up to 1TB!

Then sitting in the middle with a screen size of 6.1", of course, there is the standard model, the S10.

There's also a S10 5G on the way. More details still to come on this one (you can sign up here for any info on this: https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-s10/5g/).

So let's focus on the three devices for now and look a little deeper into their features.

CAMERA

The S10 and S10+ feature a triple rear camera setup for wide, ultra wide and tele style photo and video capturing.

The S10e features just the two rear cameras like the S9.

When it comes to the camera, it's not just extra lenses. All three devices come with Pro Assist, which is designed to understand what you're looking to capture and automatically adjust settings, so you can take epic shots. Oh, and there is also a pretty sweet camera on the front for those who love a selfie.

ON-SCREEN FINGERPRINT SCANNER

The AMOLED, HDR10+ Infinity screen was a big talking point at Samsung's unpacking of the S10 devices.

"A nearly frameless Cinematic Infinity Display allows for deeper, more detailed immersion in your content in a slim, balanced form"

But the highlight of the screen was its on-screen fingerprint scanner, which is music to the ears of those not a fan of face id recognition.

WIRELESS POWER SHARING

Not only will the Galaxy S10 devices charge wirelessly, but they will also charge other devices... such as other Galaxy S10 devices, wirelessly.

Wireless charging has gone to the next level too thanks to 'Wireless Charging 2.0', so you can get "back to 100% faster."
