REAL. EPIC. with Tyler White | Journey on Iceland’s Empty Roads

Chasing Moments on Iceland’s Empty Roads with Tyler White

The real world beckons. Go explore.

REAL. EPIC. is about the moments that happen out there - the rides, the people, and the places that shape the journey. No AI. No shortcuts. Just real experiences, captured as they happen.

It’s about igniting real-world freedom and adventure, using Quad Lock to explore further, every day.

Through this series, we spotlight epic content, community members, adventurers, and creators who live for those raw, unfiltered experiences in real places.

Tyler White (@twiiler) at the Rift Gravel Race in Iceland

For Ireland-based photographer and gravel cyclist, the trip to Iceland started with a goal: to compete in The Rift Gravel Race.

But like many great adventures, the most memorable part wasn’t the event itself. It was everything around it.

“I went to Iceland for The Rift Gravel Race, but the best part wasn’t the race. It was the day before. Just riding with a friend, getting lost on endless dirt roads, climbing into the wind, stopping whenever something caught our eye.”

Finding Freedom in the Unknown

Iceland’s vast, rugged landscape has a way of stripping things back. Endless gravel roads stretch into the horizon. The wind pushes hard. The silence is real.

Out there, it’s not about performance metrics or ticking off segments, it’s about feeling present.

“No real plan, no destination, just figuring it out as we went. Some of the best moments came from not knowing where we were going at all.”

It’s in those unscripted moments like pulling over for a photo, chasing light across volcanic terrain, or riding into nothing but open space makes the experience so much more special.

Capturing the Journey

As both a cyclist and photographer, Tyler lives at the intersection of movement and storytelling. His work is cinematic, grounded, and deeply connected to the places he explores.

This Iceland ride wasn’t about creating content for the sake of it, it was about documenting a feeling.

Backing Real Adventure

At Quad Lock, we believe in enabling these moments. It’s about giving riders the confidence to go further, explore more, and stay connected without getting in the way of the experience.

“Huge shoutout to Quad Lock for supporting real adventures like this. It’s pretty special to work with a brand that genuinely backs these kinds of experiences.”
